Wind Systems Research Scientist

Jessica joined the Wind Energy Institute of Canada (WEICan) in April 2022. She is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of research and technology development projects. Before joining WEICan, Jessica worked for global renewable energy consultancies DNV GL and Wood PLC, where she supported the development of commercial wind and solar projects by providing consultancy services and conducting research and development projects. She has experience with wind flow modeling, resource assessment, energy yield predictions, wind turbine interaction, climate conditions assessment, GIS, and reviewing technical documents and contracts related to renewable projects. She has led the modeling effort on several country-scale wind atlas projects across the globe and has performed site-specific energy work for numerous wind projects in North America, South America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. Jessica holds a B.Sc. (Physics) from the University of Prince Edward Island and an M.Sc. in Maritime Engineering Sciences from the University of Southampton in England
