Fred joined Maritime Electric Company Limited, a subsidiary of Fortis Inc., in 1988. Maritime Electric is the provincial electric utility for Prince Edward Island. Throughout his career Fred held various engineering, middle management and senior management positions with both Maritime Electric and another Fortis Inc. subsidiary, FortisOntario. He also participated in a number Fortis Inc. led acquisitions of utility companies and generation assets. The majority of Fred’s career was spent in Prince Edward Island and Ontario. His experience as a Director includes Boards of commercial enterprises, industry associations and volunteer institutions. Fred retired from the position of President and CEO of Maritime Electric in 2016.
