Peder Schlanbusch joined the Institute in the summer of 2017. Peder has been working in the wind industry for more than 24 years, working on projects in Europe, USA, Mexico and Canada. Peder has held various position in the industry such Site Manager, Construction Manager, Project Manager, Asset Manager, and Operations Manager. His experience ranges from construction projects to operating assets with focus on cost savings and optimization of performance. Peder has been working with several different manufacturers during his years in the industry and completed extensive technical and management training, such as boroscope inspections, end of warranty inspections, construction supervision, etc.

Peder is involved in overseeing operations of the Institute’s North Cape site and the Wind R&D Park in Norway, PE with a focus on using the Institute’s infrastructure, location, and resources. Peder has a great interest in promoting green energy and stay up to date with the latest development in the industry.

Peder, a native of Denmark, has lived in Canada for more than 20 years, the majority of them on PEI. Peder currently lives in Bloomfield with his wife Shelly.
