The Wind Energy
Institute of Canada (WEICan) is a not-for-profit organization formed in 1981
that advances wind energy development across Canada through research, testing,
innovation, and collaboration.
Manager of Administration
Reporting to
the CEO, the Manager of Administration is responsible for
directing and overseeing administrative support services for WEICan’s
operations. This position oversees fiscal and budgetary planning and
management, human resources management for the organization, communication, and
public outreach. The Manager of Administration
also participates in strategic and operational decision-making
as a member of the Institute’s management team.
Responsibilities for this role include
but are not limited to:
Oversee and administers
the day-to-day activities of the office
Coordinates the organization's
fiscal planning, from operating budgets to audited financial statements,
contracts, and/or grants, and prepares financial reports for senior management,
the Board of Directors, and related committees.
Directs and coordinates
human resources functions
Develops procedures and
systems and maintains policies which ensure productive and efficient office
operations
Coordinate and document
all meetings of the Board of Directors and related committees, as well as
WEICan’s Management Team.
Organize and facilitate meetings,
public education, and outreach programs
Represent the organization at various meetings
Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and
devise ways to streamline processes
Assess staff performance and provide
coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the
company to facilitate other business operations
Ensure operations adhere to policies and regulations
Keep abreast with all organizational changes and business
developments·
Supervises and
coordinates Administrative Assistant
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Business
Administration with demonstrated experience in marketing, human resources, and accounting,
Proven experience in a senior
administration position
In-depth
understanding of office management
procedures and providing support to a Board of
Directors
Familiarity
with financial and facilities management principles
Proficient
in MS Office
Experience in corporate communications
Excellent
organizational and multitasking abilities
A
team player with leadership skills
The Wind Energy
Institute of Canada offers a competitive salary between $60,000 and $70,000, an
attractive benefit (including health and dental), and an RRSP matching package.
